Our Helping Hands program allows community members of all ages and backgrounds to volunteer on the farm to support individuals who are in recovery, and individuals and families who are food insecure. We donate 100% of the produce harvested from our fields by our volunteers to local food banks, recovery programs, and directly to our makers in recovery. So all of our volunteers are a part of providing someone, right here in East Tennessee, the opportunity to have access to the fresh food that they need.
Volunteers may also participate in other tasks around the farm, and everyone who contributes their time is allowing more of our neighbors in need to get access to fresh, organic food!
We currently donate our produce to the following organizations, as of June 1, 2020.
- The Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County
- Loudon County Schools
- The Friendship Kitchen of Loudon County, in Partnership with the Loudon County Health Improvement Council.
St. Thomas the Apostle
Episcopal Church of the Ressurection
Christ Our Savior Luthern Church
United Methodist Church
- First Aid Collective Knoxville
- Susannah’s House- Knoxville
- Blount County Recovery Court
- Ironsgate Recovery Home
The volunteer season is June 1st through November.
Volunteer shifts are Friday & Saturday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
